Norfolk - 22 - 29 May 2014

We spent a very enjoyable week at cottage in Norfolk. The chief purpose of our visit was to see the National Exhibition of the Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, but we did a lot more. First, we greatly enjoyed the lecture on Glorious Colour, given by Kaffe Fassett.

The Exhibition itself was in two parts; the main, juried exhibition was in the Hostry and featured some excellent work. Here are just a few favourites:

There were many more, a lot of which can be seen on Flickr.

In the Crypt of the nearby Norwich School were over 300 unjuried bags, many of which could well have qualified for the main Exhibition:

Again, you can see more photos on Flickr.

One cannot praise too highly the job done by the Exhibition's Convenor, Anne Dixon, and everyone else involved.

The weather was mostly very kind to us; on one very wet day, we visited an exhibition of Ganseys in the Sheringham Museum:

Another wonderful experience, and there are still more photos on Flickr.

All in all, we had a great week.
