Woolfest - 28 & 29 June 2013

Once more, we spent an enjoyable, successful and exhausting two days at Woolfest in Cockermouth. This is Woolfest's ninth year (I'd miscounted when I said last year was the seventh) and we have been fortunate enough to have a stall every time.

This year we had drum carded batts in four different colourways, of which "Smaug", at the top, was the most popular.

We had our usual range of spindles: Spindlewood...

...Greensleeves and Ledbetter. These spindles went particularly well; indeed we have only one left of our stock of Ledbetters and of Greensleeves' Bare Bones.

As ever, we sold a good quantity of the lovely Bonkers merino/bamboo (left) and merino/tencel (right).

The weather was much kinder to us this year, though it rained a lot and was quite cool on the Friday. We were able both to set up and dismantle our stall without getting too wet. Woolfest was bigger and better than ever and we had a wonderful time, meeting old friends and making new ones.
