Alston Hall weekend - 6 to 8 July 2012

This popular spinning (and related crafts) weekend has been running for close to 20 years. The College still refer to the event as "Craven Spinners", reflecting the fact that it was first organised by a member of Craven Guild. However, all are welcome, from any Guild or none!

The weekend always includes two workshops; this year they were "Improve Your Hand Spinning", with Carol Leonard, and "Second Stage Rigid Heddle Weaving", with Janet Renouf-Miller. Click either link for pictures and more details.

We have a Challenge each year; it's not compulsory, or in any way competitive, but it gives those who wish to the chance to show off! This year the theme was "Things to warm your hands": mittens, gloves, fingerless gloves, wrist warmers or even muffs; we had a good range of contributions:
